About the Author –
The author also goes by the pseudonym WanderingSoul as she feels that suits her much better than her real name Neelima. A nature lover to the core and this is her way to relive her splendid sojourns in the Indian Subcontinent. More than the regular touristy kind of places, she prefers the secluded little-known jewels scattered along the length and breadth of India. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t like the regular destinations. Sucker for that too she is. :)
If she is not traveling, she is thinking about traveling! Half her time is spent in googling for new locations and the rest is spent planning/dreaming. She dreams of setting foot in Antarctica some day. Okay so I guess you got the point by now. She is a travel freak!

About the blog –
Well this blog initially started out as a journal to document the travel tales so that it would be fun to read through the posts in the latter years(read old age)! But somewhere along the way this blog was made into a full-fledged travel and photo blog. So now that this blog intends to become your one stop resource for nature trails in India, let me ask you something first.
What comes to your mind when someone says Travel in India? -
bright red?
age old traditions?
millions of gods and goddesses and demigods?
interesting cultures?
the wonderful people, the sages and the sadhus?
Spicy food and delicious sweets?
Well India is all that and more!
My India has just as diverse landscapes as it's cultures. - The Himalayas, The Western Ghats, The Pristine Islands, The white deserts at Little Rann of Kutch, The beautiful deserts of Jai Salmer, The breathtaking greenery from the North - East, the wonderful virgin forests of Central India, The Azure Blue and Emerald Green Lakes of the Mountains, The Land of the Tiger and I could go on and on. It is my wish to show the India that I have seen to all of you. I hope you like what you see! See you around! :)
This blog has been designed with tabbed navigation for easy browsing.
All the travelogues can be found under the “TRAVEL TALES” tab.
All the treks and details can be found under the “INTO THE WILD” tab. Most of these treks are in Western Ghats and occasionally in Himalayas.
Well “WATERFALLS” is pretty self-explanatory I guess.
And the latest muse, photography can be found under the “PHOTOGRAPHY” tab.
Equipment owned – Sony Cybershot DSC – H10.
Yep! Still waiting to buy that DSLR.
And the “BOOKS” section contains the occasional review of the occasional travel/adventure/mountain related books.
